Welcome all.
I would first like to thank livingart for pointing out this website to me.
Secondly, my name is Charles Bevan. I have been doing bonsai for about 5 years (only 1 and 1/2 years in a club though). I live in Vero Beach, Florida making tropicals the perfect type of plant to work with. I am lucky enough to live within walking distance of Jim Smiths house and private collection.
I hope to get to know you all better as time goes on.

He and Jim Vanlandingham (he works at Jim Smiths place) have been my teachers for 5 months now. Jim Smith is in his 80's. He has about 500 specimens and about 10,000 potensai.

No he has all of his trees for sale. He explained to me that every tree has its price, if someone really wants to pay that much for it then he will sell it.
Saint I will tell Jim V. ans Jim S. about it and see if one of them will come on. It would be nice to have another tropical master on here (I dont know if pedro still comes here I dont know when he last posted).
