If only it were possible!
My neighbour wanted a bonsai so I potted up the flamboyant in his garden for him.

Hi Art:

It is fantastic what you could do! and your computer also know how to make them flower!

Here is one that I have in my collection. Originally was desing by my teacher Adan Montalvo. It is part of my collection since 1993.

This one has only flowrer 2 times.

whould you make it flower for me?

Take care

Pedro

whould you make it flower for me?

Sure Pedro, it only takes the right fertilizer application... a brand called Photoshop... and it flowers instantly.

Seriously. I've always had trouble in getting it to branch enough to build up any sort of branch ramification. If I cut a branch back it would only sprout one lead instead of many... Resulting in one or two very knobbly branches with few leaves.
You seem to have created a good shape to your foliage. I guess you have to look at one of their bi pinnate leaves as a branch in itself and not expect many actual branches.
Did you get many flowers on the occasions that it bore?

Art:

Just a few flowers but not in all branches and always at the end. The shape when they have flowers does'nt look like a good bonsai tree but you have the flowers!

Now I think that with your fertilizer will be easy to work with them!

Pedro

PD. thanks for your advise:rolleyes:

Here is an extremely nice site that covers some very glorious flowering trees:

Just thought it would be rather good to share.
