The old TB site had an exhibit of a display that was put on in indonesia with some outstanding trees. I think that was a nice touch. If the different bonsai clubs could have a space where they could submit pictures of their displays.

that's my two cents.

Why don't you set an example by posting all those photos from the convention, that most of us are so eager to see.

Something interesting to see would be a photo illustrated "How to" section, in order for us to see a step by step on air layering, branch grafting...etc.

You mean, just for members? a gallery for members only?

I means a gallery per member, viewable by all.
The Alexy's gallery, the Noubi's gallery, ...

Please look at the website www.parlonsbonsai.com (a french generalist bonsai forum) to see what I mean.

Howdy,

Well I'm am new to bonsais. I don't know a thing and I have been searching some sites looking for some info on INDOOR BONSaiS. I guess what I'm looking for is kinda a step by step guide to indoor bonsais and what I should get for a indoor tropical beginner tree.

If anyone knows of any good sites or help files that would be great. Other than that love the site. Especially your forum :)

Take Care,
Marc

It would be nice to have a section where people could post reviews / news about books and magazines related to tropical bonsai (in any language). It is hard to find tropical bonsai resources as most of the information available concerns species from temperate climates (deciduous, etc.). This section could help us discover new sources of information on tropical bonsai, and direct us when trying to improve our bonsai libraries.

So where are the good bonsai books and magazines that deal with tropicals?

I agree with Carleetoes ...... with some really "CLOSE-UP" photos!

It would be great to have advanced notice of world-wide bonsai related events, (saikei, suiseki, etc.).

I want to see an area were the more experienced ones could help the not so expert ones or rookies like my self... techniques, care instructions, soil mixes, a "tree id lab" with photos or so, ideas on styles, "walk-through" kind of infos, wiring techs, ... and anything that might help...
it sounds difficult but with the help of everybody it could happen...
best of luck, and thanks so far :D

I wish more people developed the habit of rating the threads on this message board. Some of you will agree that there are threads in this forum that are not worth reading (most fora become plagued at some point, sadly) so any indication of the reputation of a given thread would certainly be appreciated.

If its usefull to you, here are some Translator tool from
Google (http://www.google.com/language_tools) and from Altavista (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) ........
It will help you understand :)

I like the idea of putting out the events before they happen and maybe afterwards a small review. Just to get started I will have a small exibition december 11-12, Merida Yucatan.

Firstly I think the homepage needs to be updated as it _seems_ to have last been updated in 2003... then, well I dunno ;) but this message board seems to work ok so no complaints about that.

Am pretty new around here myself.

Well, I know they are not "traditional" Bonsai material ... but I like them and find them very amenable to manipulation. Have you considered adding an Adenium (Desert Rose) forum? I'd be happy to help out if there is any interest?

Everything bout these bonsai's are lovable. I just wanted to write and say how pleased I am with my new Juniper Bonsai that I have ordered through this site: http://4bonsai.com. My order arrived as promised and they are absolutely perfect. I have seen bonsai directly for sale at nurseries that have not been near the quality of these I purchased from http://4bonsai.com. I wanted to purchase some of their authenticated Bonsai trees, Bonsai figurines, Feng Shui products, Juniper Bonsai and Ikebana. The Bonsai are shipped to California directly. I will absolutely buy all the products I mentioned here. Thanks!

most of the trees in the tropical country are broom type... it will be nice to a ficus bonsai created as it is in natural way.

Hi All,

How about if we categorized the pictures of trees per continent? In that way, users can easily identify where is the tree located. It will be like a global bonsai picture show. We could also have a link where in we could post some advertisments(bonsai related) wether you are selling or want to buy something for your bonsai needs. We could even have a bonsai photo contest...just an idea..i do not have answers regarding prizes. :) And then, finally, we have our own link where in we can download some articles created by our bonsai masters here in TB regarding bonsai care and techniques. It could be just plain text but it will be much of a help if it comes with pictures.

just my two cents.. ;)

Some kind of "ranking" or "points meter" display that gives all users score for posting, helping opinions, pictures & personal criteria like that... i would be cool.
